Lazy Cat Cafe

Toronto, Ontario

Lazy Cat Café Queen West was a feline sanctuary located at 360 Queen Street West in Toronto, Ontario, within the city’s bustling downtown core, offering cat lovers a cozy escape in one of Toronto’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Expanding from its earlier locations in Danforth and North York, the café invited guests to relax with coffee, tea, bubble tea, pastries, and savory snacks while enjoying hour-long sessions with adoptable rescue cats in partnership with Toronto Cat Rescue, blending urban energy with feline companionship. Visitors could book $20 sessions online, with proceeds supporting cat care and adoption efforts, and the café operated daily from noon to 8 p.m. Despite its community-focused mission and popularity, the Queen West location permanently closed in May 2025 due to financial challenges, rising operating costs, and public scrutiny related to animal welfare concerns, bringing an end to its downtown operations.
