Meow Cat Café Colchester

Colchester, Essex

Meow Cat Café, located at 39 Eld Lane in Colchester, Essex, UK, is the city's first adoptable cat café, bringing a purr-fect blend of relaxation and feline charm to the bustling city center since its grand opening on July 26, 2024. An expansion of the original Halstead location, this cozy retreat was founded by Rebecca White after a transformative visit to a cat café in Poland. It offers visitors a chance to unwind with a coffee, tea, or sweet treat while surrounded by playful rescue cats awaiting their forever homes. Partnering with Friends of Felines, the café has facilitated over 205 adoptions from its Halstead site in just over a year, with many cats rescued from dire circumstances, including kill centers in the UAE. The Colchester location features a spacious interior with cat-friendly furniture for climbing and lounging, creating a soothing environment where guests can connect with adoptable cats and support a mission to rehome felines in need.
