The Kitty Crib

The Kitty Crib is a nonprofit cat lounge tucked away at 3113 North Market Street in Champaign, Illinois, within Champaign County, operated by the dedicated volunteers of Moore’s Rescue Ranch since its grand opening in September 2024. This cozy haven welcomes visitors to enjoy self-serve coffee or hot chocolate—free with a $7 entry fee ($5 for students and kids)—while spending time with 14-22 adoptable rescue cats, many of whom come from overcrowded animal control facilities or face euthanasia risks due to disabilities. Founded by Kim Dalluge on her family’s historic land, the lounge offers a sensory-friendly space for relaxation and study, with a mission to provide a home-like environment for cats and raise funds for a future facility that will expand animal therapy programs and house rescue dogs. Open Monday, Saturday, and Sunday with limited hours, The Kitty Crib invites guests to unwind, connect with feline friends, and support a lifesaving cause in this Champaign community gem—just bring five cans of wet food to waive your fee!
