Planet Purrrk Club is a multifaceted feline haven located at 100 City Center C in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, within Winnebago County, seamlessly blending a cat lounge, co-working space, and study hall since its opening on July 27, 2023. An innovative extension of Planet Perk Coffee Houses, this 3,000-square-foot retreat invites guests to enjoy café offerings like espresso, nitro cold brew, and baked goods while mingling with up to 15 adoptable rescue cats from the Oshkosh Area Humane Society in a home-like lounge, having facilitated over 100 adoptions with an average of one every three days. Founded by Ken Osmond, who pivoted from closing the café amid a 30% business drop to creating this community gem, it offers students free study hall access from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (with a purchase), private offices for members, and events like “Wine, Words, and Whiskers” or kitty yoga, all enhanced by air purifiers and a “Humane Society Plus One” care philosophy. Open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Planet Purrrk Club provides a purr-fect blend of productivity, relaxation, and feline companionship in downtown Oshkosh’s revitalized City Center.
