Kattencafé Poespas

Kattencafé Poespas is a cozy living-room-style cat cafe in Leeuwarden, Friesland. The space welcomes guests for a relaxed lunch, an elaborate high tea, or simply a good cup of coffee, and it doubles as home to five resident cats: Boefje, Lily, Saartje, Yara, and Boris. Each cat has its own personality, from the reserved elder Boefje to the playful Lily and the regal Saartje, and the interior is filled with sunny window ledges, comfy resting spots, and a climbing wall so the cats can play or retreat to a private area whenever they wish. Poespas also serves as a meaningful day program for people with disabilities, who help care for the cats and work in the kitchen, at the counter, and in service.
