Catnip Cafe & Lounge in Plant City, Florida, was a serene oasis where felines and humans came together to enjoy a unique, relaxing experience in a spacious café designed like an indoor garden, complete with cat towers, scratching posts, and cozy nooks for lounging and play. The café partnered with local shelters to host more than 20 adoptable cats at a time, giving visitors the chance to connect with potential new companions while enjoying specialty coffee, tea, and playful cat-themed treats. Known for its calm atmosphere and community-focused mission, the café served as a welcoming space for both cat lovers and casual visitors. After facing ongoing economic challenges, Catnip Cafe & Lounge permanently closed its brick-and-mortar location on September 7, 2025, ending its in-person operations while expressing interest in continuing its mission in new ways beyond the physical café.
