Bertha's Beans Cat Café, located in Columbia, Missouri, is a cozy and unique destination that opened in 2023 as the city's only cat cafe, born from the passion of pet owners Jessica and Kyle, founders of Lizzi & Rocco’s Natural Pet Market. This charming spot partners with Columbia Second Chance to serve as a large-scale foster home, offering a laid-back environment where visitors can enjoy coffee, tea, seasonal drinks, and light snacks like pastries and sandwiches while mingling with adoptable rescue cats. With the exception of two permanent residents, every feline in the cafe is available for adoption, creating a purr-fect opportunity to find a new family member. The cafe, named in honor of Bertha, the couple’s first store cat who lived to 19, features a welcoming space for cat cuddles and relaxation.
